Carrot’s Predictions
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Winner – Lewis Hamilton
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Pole Position – Lewis Hamilton
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Fastest Lap – Lewis Hamilton
- Other predictions – Mercedes GP to firmly slip into the midfield
I’m giving a clean sweep to Lewis Hamilton this weekend. With his pace in Monaco, a similar track to Hungary, and the fact he’s already been setting impressive times in Free Practice mean it’s simple for me. There’s no rain predicted for the race, but possibly there will be for qualifying which would shake things up a bit. Fernando Alonso will also be one to watch this weekend.
Mark’s Predictions
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Winner – Lewis Hamilton
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Pole Position – Lewis Hamilton
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Fastest Lap – Fernando Alonso
I am going with Lewis Hamilton to make it two wins in as many weeks. He has been impressive in Free Practice and appears to have finally found the perfect balance between speed and aggression which he has lacked for the first half of this season.
Euan’s Predictions
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Winner – Lewis Hamilton
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Pole Position – Sebastian Vettel
- Hungarian Grand Prix 2011 Fastest Lap – Fernando Alonso
- Other predictions – Sky Sports News will take a very sudden new found interest in Formula 1, going from being barely mentioned to Sunday’s top news.
Lewis Hamilton looks to have hit a purple patch of form. Last weekend’s convincing win has been followed by two time-sheet topping times on Friday practice in Hungary. Despite this, its still hard to look past Sebastian Vettel in qualifying at any race. However, the German now looks increasingly vulnerable on race day and even in qualifying so I can certainly see this weekend once again being dominated by Hamilton and Alonso.
