Carrot’s Predictions
- Canadian Grand Prix 2011 Winner – Lewis Hamilton
- Canadian Grand Prix 2011 Pole Position – Sebastian Vettel
- Canadian Grand Prix 2011 Fastest Lap – Mark Webber
- Other predictions – At least one safety car period
Canada, the race Pirelli were told to copy their degradation patterns from, and they’ve brought the softest tyres in the range. Added to that brake degradation has always been a problem at this track, walls are close and we now have two DRS activation zones. I’m not expecting Canada to be an uneventful race. Sergio Perez has withdrawn due to feeling unwell, to be replaced by Pedro de la Rosa for this race. I’m not expecting anyone to be able to touch Vettel in qualifying, but the McLarens should be able to use the form they demonstrated in Monaco and Spain to take the fight to the Red Bulls in the race. Ferrari are also looking fast and Fernando Alonso could easily get himself mixed up in a podium fight.
Mark’s Predictions
- Canadian Grand Prix 2011 Winner – Lewis Hamilton
- Canadian Grand Prix 2011 Pole Position – Lewis Hamilton
- Canadian Grand Prix 2011 Fastest Lap – Sebastian Vettel
Lewis Hamilton and McLaren should be able to chalenge Red Bull this weekend. As we saw in Monaco, the McLaren works well on the softest Pirelli, which is available once again in Canada this weekend.
