Carrot’s Predictions
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Winner – Mark Webber
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Pole Position – Sebastian Vettel
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Fastest Lap – Lewis Hamilton
- Other predictions – Renault to have another poor race showing in relation to their Friday pace.
- World Champion – Mark Webber
Webber has the advantage in engine life, both Alonso and Vettel will be unable to stay with him if he turns Abu Dhabi into a relentless race. Vettel will remain untouched in qualifying, but come race day, with it all on the line, I’m picking the Aussie. McLaren’s pace is improved, with the top three worrying about the title I fancy Hamilton to take fastest lap late in the race. I first predicted Webber for the crown back in March, I’m sticking with that for this weekend, on Sunday we will have an Australian World Champion.
Mark’s Predictions
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Winner – Sebastian Vettel
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Pole Position – Sebastian Vettel
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Fastest Lap – Fernando Alonso
- Other predictions – Webber and Alonso
- World Champion – Fernando Alonso
I have gone for Vettel to grab pole and lead to the finish. I fancy Alonso to start second or third on the grid and grab second position from the start, control Webber and Hamilton behind him and go on to become a three time world champion.
Euan’s Predictions
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Winner – Fernando Alonso
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Pole Position – Sebastian Vettel
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 Fastest Lap – Mark Webber
- Other Predictions – Force India could well get good points this weekend, with them only one point behind 6th place Williams in the constructors’ championship.
- World Champion – Fernando Alonso
This weekend we will see a the 2010 World Champion crowned, and this year I can’t look past Fernando Alonso. For large parts of the season he looked to be a race away from being out of the championship, with some even writing him off at one time. But Alonso has grabbed key race wins and now is in a great position to go out and be victorious on Sunday. So, on Sunday, I believe we will see Fernando Alonso crowned as world champion for the third time in only his début season at Ferrari.
