Hispania have chosen to switch round their two starting drivers for the German Grand Prix, after doing the same for the British Grand Prix. However, this time Karun Chandhok is taken out rather than Bruno Senna. Coming in will be Sakon Yamamoto, who deputised for Senna at Silverstone.
Yamamoto spoke of how he was looking forward to racing at Hockenheim - “I have a lot of good memories of the circuit in Hockenheim. I like the track layout with the passing point at the end of the long straight and also the Stadium sector, which is very challenging.”
Another driving option for HRT is former Jaguar and Red Bull driver Christian Klien, who is also on the Spanish team’s books. Therefore Hispania’s driving line-up for Hockenheim will be Bruno Senna and Sakon Yamamoto, with Karun Chandhok and Christian Klien left out in the cold.
